Re: Legamus uploader

Did Google Translate produce anything useful? I'd thought one would need an IT -> common language translator more than FR -> EN :)

The anti-spam mechanism "SPF" is complicated in its details, but easy to describe: Domain owners (e.g. for "legamus.eu") say which mail servers are "allowed" to send ...

Thank you, Tony, I got your recording! MW updated. What name do you prefer for the catalog? "Tony Rao"?

Re: Legamus uploader

I might have found a technical explanation for this and asked our hoster which solution he prefers.

Re: Legamus uploader

You're not the first one telling me this, there might be a problem. But for me, it works very well, so it's difficult for me to debug it :?

New posts on topics you're subscribed to - you can double-check in your "User control panel", "Manage subscriptions" - should trigger an e-mail to you. Maybe ...

Re: Legamus uploader

Disk space is "enough" :D

The monthly fee covers "unlimited" traffic. In practice, I expect to see "slow" access if it becomes "too much". We will see what "slow" and "too much" exactly means, current Legamus usage should not be any problem. Anyway, it won't cost more!

Legamus uploader

We now have a first version of our own uploader:

If you're happy with ge.tt, just continue to use that. This is just for those of you who would like an alternative. For username and password, send me an e-mail or a PM. And if anything does not work for you, please ...

Re: SOLO [English] The Great Gatsby By F. Scott Fitzgerald -

Thanks! One more question: CC0 is the right license? That's the one that resembles most the public domain. (I somehow remember someone choosing BY-NC-ND for a solo, but I don't find him/her any more...)

Re: SOLO [English] The Great Gatsby By F. Scott Fitzgerald

Great! We're moving to "Readers Found"!

About the "Magic Window". We don't have our own system for that yet (it's likely to come in some months). For the moment, we use a spreadsheet on Google Docs. It's no problem for me to make one, however this is a solo project with one dedicated PL. Do you ...

Re: [Question] Tale without a name by Penelope Delta in Gree

Sounds like the text provider, 24grammata.com, did their work thoroughly. From what you wrote, it looks OK. Indeed, works enter public domain on the first day of the year following the 70th anniversary of the author's death.

The first part of the general statement "the authors send the material ...

Re: D.H. Lawrence - Rockinghorse Winner

The text should have around 5500 words, that would be a nice fit for the Multilingual Short Work Collection, if you're fine with that! That collection takes short works of up to 8000 words.

Re: D.H. Lawrence - Rockinghorse Winner

Hello Tony, and welcome here!

As the "Rockinghorse Winner" is not part of those "Collected Short Stories", I moved your posting into this new topic. How long is your recording? If it's short, it could go into the "Multilingual Short Work collection", otherwise it could become a recording on its own ...
