Section 20 is PL OK, though I'm still trying to get my head round electric corsets.

In relation to this particular project, I'd be curious to hear Douglas in his own words. More generally, I seem to have become the default English-language DPL here. I wouldn't be able to keep up if it were a dozen projects uploading weekly, but this is okay and keeps everything active.

I did find Douglas's first book on Wilde interesting (although it was ghost-written, so not technically in his own voice). So I look forward to reading his autobiography.

Here are some more sections for PL.

I have one short note for section 21. I think a sentence might have been slightly clipped in editing:

31.43, penultimate para p 273, omission/truncated sentence
[Propaganda,] which declared that the Mormon hierarchy...

I can say hand on heart that when I signed up for this I didn't imagine I'd be hearing about Jesse James or Mormonism.

I hadn't realised that this earlier book was ghost written. I think I just assumed that Douglas was accustomed to writing and would have done the work himself.

Thanks, Erin. Yes, this book does cover some unusual topics.

I recorded section 22, which I had been putting off because it's a long chapter. However, I found it was too long for one section and had to split it. This meant that the subsequent sections had to be renumbered. Sorry if you had already started PLing them. I have reuploaded them and they are the same as I uploaded a couple of days ago, except for the intro/outro and metadata.

That's okay. At least you caught it now, rather than after you'd done several more, later, sections that would have needed new intro/outros and tags.

Section 24

1.31-1.36, p 304 penultimate para of first section, false start
“Yes- *snap* *snap* “Yes, it is so everywhere,” Oscar...

4.07, p 305 first full para, omission
[It was nearly nine o’clock when Oscar came with slow step through the red curtains at the back of the stage,] and made his way...

7.11, p 306, section number [3] omitted

Section 25

8.41-8.54, p 317 last para
Wilde was driven to the Clarendon and a few hours of sweet dreams about a preposterous [heard prosperous] Leadville which would grow more preposterous [heard prosperous] as his dreams, his wit, his drinks, and his imagination played upon it.

Brilliant, I'll get on to these soon.

One (quick fix) note for section 26: the end silence is down to three seconds. Could you please bump it up a tad?

Section 28 is PL OK. The MW and tags say it spans parts 1-5 but it covers parts 1-6 (and the following section 7-12). I've not altered the MW, but that's the only comment for this section.

Section 29 is PL OK; as with the previous section, just adjust the part numbers in the MW.

Sections 16, 22, 23 and 26 are spot PL OK, and section 28 and 29 tags are okay. I'll listen to section 27 soon.

I'm getting the same url in section 30 (MW and thread) as for section 27 - could you please double check it? I think I can't see it properly anymore after staring at it.

Section 34 is PL OK. For section 33, one definite note, and one I'd like you to double check:

8.58-9.18, p 432 section 2, repetition

21.10-21.16, top half p 436

‘aristocratic’ seems to have got slightly garbled or stumbled over – could you just check that you’re either happy with it as it is or would like to redo it?
