With a teaser like that, how could I resist?
Do you have the link still, by any chance?
Erin
Oops, in my excitement at seeing it upload, I overlooked that!
Shall I re-upload?

Please do re-upload! The generated url on Legamus isn't guess-able and consistent in the way that it usually is on LV, so it's safest to put the link in the post every time. Unless of course you're simply trying to build suspense!

Peter, your reading is absolutely superb. There's just one note - the end silence is 10 seconds long. Could you please trim it to 5?

Hi Erin,
I've recorded a version as my first Legamus contribution. Could you help me with logging in to the uploader, please?

Thank you, chaps!
Rob, I have one note for your recording - the opening silence is quite short. Could you please add a bit to bring it up to half a second or a second? Other than that, congrats on your first Legamus recording!

Thank you! There is some late Halloween gremlin or something though, because I am still hearing/seeing about a tenth of a second at the start. I'm sorry to be a pain, but could you give it another shot?
The email notifications sometimes take a few minutes to come through. Is that perhaps what you're experiencing? I've sometimes had messages go missing somewhere in cyberspace, and the best advice I can give is the equivalent of 'turn it off and turn it back on again'. I've unsubscribed and un-bookmarked, then redone/all of those to see if that worked. Normally being subscribed ought to do the trick!

Oh man! I still had the file open in my editing software and, as you said, only 1/10th of a second of silence. As I definitely added the extra silence, all I can think it that I accidentally hit ctrl+z before saving. At least, I hope so, otherwise I need to get my head checked...

Ha! I think we've all been there. It's saved with the extra silence this time, so it's all fine and dandy. PL OK!
As we're about to work together on the Wilde bio, I'll just mention it now - I run the files through Checker as a sort of backup, and on this particular one it registered fairly high background noise. I'm not going to cast stones because my original setup sounded very - rough and ready, shall we say - but if you want to fiddle with noise cleaning, it's something to bear in mind.

It has been a while since I have been active at Legamus - so long in fact that I don't have access to the uploader.
I have recorded the poem and it is ready for upload.

Thank you very much, Algy.
The reading itself was fine, but could you please add tags?
