[FULL] Shall we join the ladies? by JM Barrie - vik

Piotr: I have PLed your file

There is a strange crackling in the background of some of the recording (e.g. 0:14)... not sure if this is something that noise cleaning might reduce?
The rest is PL:OK

You say "This..."Exactly. That is how I should like to paint him.

Your role is PL OK
I'll look into my recording and make an edit soon.
And here's the edited version: http://upload.legamus.eu/simple/files/T ... ourlay.mp3
The crackling noise you mentioned occurs sometimes in my recordings for reasons which I don't understand. I don't know how to remove it when it occurs while I speak.

I decided to orphan Cat's roles. She is busy and hasn't responded the PM I left her on LV. I marked her roles as available in the Google Window.
The roles are:
Narrator - quite a bit of text, the reader can be either gender, marked black in the script.
Ms. Isit - approx. 17 lines, marked pink in the script
I'll post advertising for readers both here and on LV.

Going back to Readers Wanted.

Hello Piotrek,
Saw your post at Librivox, and came over. I'd like to contribute. I have a long free rainy weekend ahead of me, so may be able to read the narrator this weekend, if that is agreeable? I never read narration before - do I also read the names of the cast everytime they speak, or just the descriptions and little bits in between?
Anna
PS this will be my first contribution to Legamus, but I'll read up to find out what the differences are with Librivox, where I do have experience.

Hi Anna and thank you for volunteering.
As Hokispokus said things are generally the same here as on LV except that we upload stuff to ge.tt or our own uploader (you'll find link in the "About Legamus" section and possibly somewhere else too).
As to your question, I'm not sure myself so I asked the question to someone more experienced than me and I'll send you the reply on LV.
I think you should read speaking characters' names only when they are accompanied by stage directions (e.g "Steve, whispering"); that's what I saw in the narrator's lines when I edited one play on LV. Maybe Hokuspokus could help with this question?
Also, how would you like to be credited. The same way as on LV?

Hello again.
If you don't mind it taking a week or two I can read Ms Isit for you. I don't think I've done a Legamus recording before, so I'd like my catalogue name to be Lucy Perry, same as on LV.

So little space, so much to say.

Hi, Lucy
The power of advertising
Ms Isit is yours. We've waited over a year, we can wait another 2 weeks, no problem
Also, see what I said above about the upload servers we're using and the color-coded script.

Hi Piotr,
Here is the narrator: http://ge.tt/8vOUGEC1/v/0
Let me know if there's anything missing. I've kept in the names only for the first time each cast member is speaking; but the editor can decide whether to use that or not.

I'm orphaning Mrs. Castro's lines. Catrose expressed her interest in the role so I'll give it to her.

Hello Piotr,
I looked for this project in Readers Found.
Do we not now have a full cast?

I forgot to notify Viktor.
Re: [DRAMA] Shall we join the ladies? by JM Barrie - vik
Maybe Viktor wouldn't mind updating the cast details, please?
Thank you
