This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: http://legamus.eu/blog/?p=525
Magic WindowThis is a collection for short works, poetry and prose, fiction and non-fiction in any language.
How to claim a chapter?
You can choose any text that is in the public domain in life+70 countries and published in 1923 or later. (Your text is published before 1923? Please record it for Librivox.) Please stick to texts with less than 8000 words. If your text is longer, you can record it as Solo. You don't need to sign up before recording, but if you have any questions, just ask.
note: not everything there is pd in EU. Author/translator must be dead for 70 years.
http://www.wolnelektury.pl (lists some texts that were made available under CC, check translators!)
Do you know sources for other languages? Please post in this topic. I will add them here.

-- Are there any repeats, or serious stumbles that ought to be edited out? If so, note the words and the time.
-- Is there excessive background noise, a constant hiss or buzz that detracts from the reading?
-- Did you need to turn your volume up unusually high to listen to the recording? (Or did you find the recording too loud?)
-- Are the correct closing words used at the end of the recording, as per the first post of the project thread?
