This project is now complete! All audio files can be found on our catalog page: http://legamus.eu/blog/?p=800

Orlando by Virginia Woolf (*1882 - † 1941)
A fictional biography following the adventures of Orlando: initially a gentleman, later a lady -- always a poet -- who romps through British history, living an unusually long and full life....
(Summary by Cori)
Text source: http://gutenberg.net.au/ebooks02/0200331.txt (please only read from this text!)

Prooflistener: J_N (Note: I'd like to complete this by early October if at all possible. It'll be about 9 hours when done -- I've recorded already and have done about half the editing.)

Great start, everything is PL:OK :)

I just realized that this is my first book by Woolf... finally... I have had her on my "to-read-list" for ages :D

Yay, thankyou!

Oooh, I hope you enjoy it! It's not as 'serious' as some of them. Though that may be a disadvantage, depending on your taste. ;)

Chapter 2 is ready, in three parts. Is it useful to put the links and times here, or is it as convenient to get them from the magic window? Happy to do whatever's easier for you :D

downloading 8-)

Having the files in the MW only works for me - no need to put them in your post as well.

In 25 years of reading, I still haven't quite figured out what my taste is... I have been more than once very pleasantly surprised by books I thought I would dislike

All 3 are again spotless :D

I read up on the book a bit and some of the themes like gender-nonconformity are quite topical... and unbelievably modern for the times...

Thankyou! I'm working on chapter 4 now, three parts of the four are ready to go.

Edited later: Finished chapter 4, complete with correctly pronounced 'benignity' (you learn something new every day ;)) and a nice little chapter 5.

And the rest is done. :D

Could you please change 'gentleman' to 'nobleman' in the description. I muddled the classes. :? Also, I realised that I've mis-typed some of the ID3 tags ... I put 'pt' instead of 'part' for chapter 3 (I think, maybe chapter 2 too.) Is that something you can easily change, Julia, or would you rather I re-uploaded? (I've already made the fix in my local copies.)

ID3 tags are something which I can change rather easily when preparing the download page. I have a look at them anyway. No need for re-uploading if it's just that. Thanks for the notice!

Thanks Viktor for stopping by and clarifying :)

Cori, would you like to make a cover?

Thankyou, but no. :D I'm terrible at graphics and layout and stuff. I'd really appreciate it if anyone else would like to!

I have a few ideas, but I can't find suitable pictures... I might just do a generic one... or if you have a picture you'd like included, feel free to post a link :)

Edit: Everything is PL:OK :D Congrats and thank you for letting me join on the journey :)

JFYI: I will catalogue this in a day or two when Viktor has had time to move the files to their final location.
