The readers for this project will be unreadpages, GrayHouse, Craigos, eggs4ears and Newgatenovelist.

To the MC who sets up the project: I've set this up as I would on LV. Sections 00 and 03-09 are for unreadpages, and sections 01 and 02 are 'group', with all five readers named above. Sections 10-19 are for individual roles for the two verse dramas, sections 01 and 02. If as BC I can assign sections, that's great. If only an MC can do that on Legamus, then I'll type it out below:

00-unreadpages
01-unreadpages, GrayHouse, Craigos, eggs4ears and Newgatenovelist
02-unreadpages, GrayHouse, Craigos, eggs4ears and Newgatenovelist
03-unreadpages
04-unreadpages
05-unreadpages
06-unreadpages
07-unreadpages
08-unreadpages
09-unreadpages
10-GrayHouse [FMM - Narrator]
11-unreadpages [FMM - First Attendant]
12-eggs4ears [FMM - Second Attendant]
13-Newgatenovelist [FMM - Queen]
14-Craigos [FMM - Swineherd]
15-Newgatenovelist [KGCT - Narrator]
16-eggs4ears [KGCT - First Attendant]
17-unreadpages [KGCT - Second Attendant]
18-Craigos [KGCT - King]
19-GrayHouse [KGCT - Stroller]

If that's completely unclear, please say so!
Erin

His (first) post isn't showing yet, but Ian has let me know that he's PLed the file for the Queen. (Thank you, Ian!) I'm posting to avoid duplicating the effort, on the off chance that someone else comes along and does likewise before the PL post displays.

Ian has very kindly offered to PL my other lines, so here is the narrator from the King of the Great Clock Tower:

Hi Erin,

Section 15 is PL OK - nicely done. My only comment is that you didn't record a credit for yourself (as Narrator) in the Character list. I'm not sure if that was deliberate?

Here's my first file for PL. It's my first attempt at a legamus recording. I'm fairly new to dramatic readings too, so hopefully I haven't done too many things wrong!

The Narrator for section 1 is almost done - just need a few retakes...

Hi Ian,

I'm glad one of us was concentrating! Yes, I completely forgot the narrator credit. I've also bunged in a credit for the Queen. She doesn't speak, but the references to her will sound odd if her presence on stage isn't at least mentioned before the play begins. The extra bits are at 0.26-0.31.

You needn't have worried, your file is perfectly PL OK. And who knows, maybe you'll develop a taste for dramatic readings...

And here's section 10 ready for PL:

I've recorded quite a lot of the directions that you'll probably leave out. It was easier to record them than to second-guess your decisions and end up getting it wrong!

Hi Ian,

No worries at all about the extra lines. That is precisely what I do if I narrate - I assume it's much easier just to record it and not have it used than the reverse.

Section 10 is PL OK, and you've just rounded off two roles!

Can I just clarify about the singing?
There seems to be singing in both Full Moon and The King - should the attendants' roles be sung in both?
Also, it seems both attendants sing - was that the plan? If so they probably need to sing at least related melodies. Should Phil and I co-ordinate this?

Hi Peter,

I'm willing to be flexible about most of the singing versus speaking, especially as some of the stage directions are already being ignored so the project can be done at all.

Many of the stage directions won't be used, so some of these will be at your discretion. You could, for instance, use it to distinguish between or blur the boundaries when the lines flip back and forth between the first attendant and the first attendant as queen. (That's not a mandate, just an example.)

For the song on pp. 4-5 of A Full Moon in March, I couldn't learn if Yeats had a particular melody in mind. My plan, such as it was, was to use the second attendant's lines in their entirety and probably use your lines much more sparingly than the stage directions indicate. I'm not saying it was a good plan, and if you had a melody in mind I'd be open to hearing it!

If that's only muddied the waters, please say so.
Erin
