Re: Policy: Dramatic reading rewritings?
After having said that, I'd like to make a suggestion. It would be worth a try to record the scenes together via Skype or similar. People really would interact and be inspired by the co-actors. Every reader could record themselves for good audio quality. Typically the dialogues are not so long and ...

Re: Not PD in France - abandonned - Le Petit Prince
I'm very sorry, Ezwa! But hold on... maybe we can at least alleviate the problem. First, why France? I'm a German living in France. The Germans have horrible laws which do not care much about non-commercial volunteer projects. Instead of ranting here, I'll refer to Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org...

Hello Ezwa,
great that you want to start this reading here, but I do feel trouble arising - all our servers, and my own person, are located in France.

Re: Policy: Dramatic reading rewritings?
It certainly is a lot of work, but the burden is mostly on the BC: rewriting - if permitted and desired, color-coding, and editing. As a reader, I'd be happy to join in a common effort. We are still so small that we can have joint efforts where a majority of the active users participates! We should ...

Policy: Dramatic reading rewritings?
In this thread , SweetPea suggests a dramatic reading - a prose text, containing large amounts of direct speech, read with several roles. On LV rewritings of the text are not allowed. Shall we maintain that policy? I will give some examples to make this clear. There are insertions like this: “Yes,”...

Re: A Dramatic reading? Or is that a completely crazy idea :
My main concern is the number of roles - I'm not sure exactly how many there are since I haven't started to prepare text. Editing isn't a big problem - I've edited longer books than this. Two possibilities come to mind. Either we do this as one of our "long-running" projects that's done w...

Re: A Dramatic reading? Or is that a completely crazy idea :
The two main issues are, I think, a number of roles which must not be too large for our little community, and the availability of an editor - that's the most time-consuming task for a play. Apart from that, it should be doable! But I had a look at "The Fairy Caravan", and I'm confused, cer...

"humlebo", is that you? In any case, welcome here!
I hope I understood your question correctly: In Audacity, you can copy and paste. You can copy the "soundbite" from a file, then paste it before a recording of yours.

Please review our final catalogue page:

The wrong dates were probably my mistake, I must have copied that from the wrong collection; they do not show in any of the four collections that are of concern here.
