The language is so important that I would put it in the title of the project thread. Like:

Google docs could be a good thing for more that one person working on a project, like BC and DPL. The downside it, that some people can't see or use them for some reason.

Might be true in some countries of the EU, but for Germany it is 70 years and no excuse.
Were have you found the information about 50 years for posthumous publications? I'd like to have a look on that.

The metadata ideally is stored in the ID3tags, done by the reader. LV has a tool that can suck the tags from the database in the final cataloging, but I fear we are far away from that. I have never read an error report because of the shortened file name problem. But many many because of Itunes (Ih-tunes )

You can't make all people happy. Today errors in the tags are the bigger problem.
