Re: Disclaimer

This is my suggestion: The original text of this recording is in the Public Domain in countries where copyright expires 70 years or less after the author's death, but is still protected by copyright in the USA and some other countries. Please check the copyright law of your country before downloadi...

Disclaimer

Now that the first recordings are up, we really need to decide about the disclaimer. Before we can do that, we must agree on a license. The poll shows that most of us prefer a free license. CC0 http://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/# has the same effect as simple pd. In my understanding, ...

Re: File hosting, distribution and storage

I agree with Viktor that file hosters come and go. I don't think that it matters that much where the server is (this may vary from judge to judge, but we will try our best that it doesn't come to that) as long as I have the right to share a file and as long as the downloader has the right to downloa...

Re: Where can we find book texts to read for legamus.eu?

Our policy is not to overlap with LV, right? I.e.: all pre-1923 books should be over at their place and not legamus.eu? If so, I think we should put this in the first post too. Yes, for the moment we only do books, that can't be done at LV. There might be a time, when we have the same resources and...

Re: Templates, tech specs and so on

Viktor, great that you contacted the people from ge.tt! I do hope, they will answer. Personally I'd like to not allow commercial use. But it would be me, who had to check the internet, if someone does, it had to be me who has to write letters and pay lawyers, ... No, thank you very much. CC has a va...

Re: Templates, tech specs and so on

I don't think that we need to give the reason for the recording being in the pd in the recording. We must write it on the catalog page, of course. As for German law, I can't put my recording into the public domain; for two reasons: 1. There is no public domain in Germany. Something can be "geme...

Re: Forum: Usability for small screen sizes

I have the same problem with the big screen. Resolution is 1280 x 1024, but at 125%. In the public area all works well, but in the back I miss the right side of some drop downs. Like here: http://i946.photobucket.com/albums/ad302/Hokuspokus77/screenshot.jpg But it's not a big problem. I just found o...

Re: Solo [ENGLISH] The Island of Sheep by John Buchan - hok

Great! So we are complete and can move to Readers Found.
Hokus is fine, or HP. I have a talent for untypable nicknames

EDIT: Ähm, the screen of my netbook is so small, I can't reach the move button. So we will move later, when I'm on the big screen.

Re: Templates, tech specs and so on

I think the idea about the disclaimer at the beginning of the first and end of the last section is good :) Why not give the readers free choice for now? As long as it contains legamus dot eu and something about volunteering? I wanted to say, only the Come and volunteer phrase in the first and last ...

Re: Templates, tech specs and so on

We have two projects in the launch pad and still no disclaimer. :?: Do we agree about: Only for the first section: Book Title by Author. Translated by Translator. This Legamus dot eu recording is in the Public Domain. Chapter/section 1 (Chaptertitle) For all other sections: Section # of Book Title. ...

Re: Where can we find book texts to read for legamus.eu?

Sticky is a good idea.
If kattekliek doesn't mind, we could use her initial post to make a list.

Over at LV there is a list with some more sources.

Re: Where can we find book texts to read for legamus.eu?

For German there is
Zeno.org (commercial)
http://www.zeno.org/Literatur/W/Inhaltsverzeichnis
Literaturnetz (private)
http://literaturnetz.org/autoren
Wikisource
http://de.wikisource.org/wiki/Hauptseite

Oh, and Gutenberg Europe is not so reliable. Hesse is not pd here.
