Re: Magic Window - sort of
That would be great! Dii and I did some exploring. The BC and DPL need to be added as editors. An email address needs to be entered. It's at the top of the page, where it says "Anyone with the link". I think that shouldn't be the most personal favourite email but something like gmail or ya...

Re: Solo [HUNGARIAN]Zsivajgó természet by Dezső Kosztolányi-
Great! When I look at it now, I think that it should say Legamus recording, not only recording. Now your intro would be: Section number of book title by Author. This Legamus recording may be ... Section title: We plan to have something like: For more information or to volunteer ... at the end of the...

Magic Window - sort of
As a test I made a google.doc spread sheet for dii's new solo as Magic Window. https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?hl=en_US&hl=en_US&key=0AkR3hlCdfK81dEFHUDRWNUpXLWw5bGx6WG5zZklaTnc&output=html I tried to think of every data we might need for any sort of project (text source ...

Re: Solo [HUNGARIAN] Zsivajgó természet by Dezső Kosztolányi
Hi dii, I'm your MC for this project. I've tried to create a sort of MW with Google.docs. This is just a test to see how it works. This is the link for everyone to see. https://spreadsheets.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?hl=en_US&hl=en_US&key=0AkR3hlCdfK81dEFHUDRWNUpXLWw5bGx6WG5zZklaTnc&outp...

Re: Discussion of set-up/future legamus.eu
Reads good, but may I suggest less bright colours?
Like LightGoldenrod1 255;236;139 FFEC8B for the yellow and
DarkSlateGray4 82;139;139 528B8B or
DarkSlateGrey 47;79;79 2F4F4F for the blue?
The front page of the blog only needs a good headline and one finished recording.

Re: How to catalogue
LV uses mp3gain http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/ in the cataloging process, but it doesn't work on Mac.
Phil has made a tutorial video for it http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=toef8_-qsms

Re: Disclaimer
"This recording may be spread freely, if on a non-commercial basis, complete and unchanged - including this intro" It sounds much better! But I have to think about a German translation. Legal speech translates much easier, sounds horrible, what ever you do ;-) ... could we use the LV-text...

Re: How to catalogue
Normalizing means amplifying to a certain volume? This can be dangerous, especially when the original value is far away from optimum. With very low files, background noise gets amplified, too, and it needs a human listener to determine if noisecleaning is needed. Many files can't be amplified withou...

Catalog Blog - Translation needed
I have written a small text for the About page of our Catalog Blog. https://legamus.wordpress.com/about/ Would be great if we could have about the same in other languages, too. The text is along these lines: Legamus (lat = lets read together) makes free audio books that are public domain in Europe. ...

Re: How to catalogue
One way is to invite other users (I've found that, hurray!). But I think it's better to have one log in for all Admins/MCs. We need an email address for that and I think it should be one connected with Legamus. I've asked Viktor about that. One way or another all Admins/MCs will have access to the b...

Re: How to catalogue
The blog is up http://legamus.wordpress.com/ This can all be deleted and made undone. Wordpress is not as flexible as I would like. There are some minor un-nice things, I will try to get rid off. For example the "Just another WordPress.com site" line. Haven't found all buttons yet. Still n...

Re: How to catalogue
Now that I've had some time to look at kattekliek's and HP's suggestions with regard to the catalogue, I have to admit that I like HP's a lot! A blog would work too, but HP gave it a lot of thought already, you can tell! prooflistened by Elli, really? ;) Ah, Walpurgisnacht was PLed by Elli, really....

Re: Disclaimer
Completely agree about text pdnes and license info in the tags. What bothers me is an long-winded spoken pdnes info in the recording. For two reasons. 1. When people hear it, it is already to late. They already have violated the law. 2. it is long-winded and inelegant. I understand Ruth's concerns, ...

Re: How to catalogue
Ah, congratulation! This is what I would do: 1. get all files on my computer 2. check them with mp3 gain and make them all 89 dB 3. put them into mp3tag http://www.mp3tag.de/en/download.html , check the tags and correct them if necessary. It can mass set tags, too, so it's easy to add pd info for th...

Re: Disclaimer
I understand Ruth's concerns about adding the information to the recording itself - but then, how would it be worded? Hokus gave an idea: I think, it is enough to say "This recording is in the public domain", and additionally we put the CC0 link on the catalog page. People said it wasn't ...
