Yup, that's fine. It's what the other PLers I've worked with do as well.
Chapter 2: 7:50 ... as Tom helped her to the platform in New York. .. . ...the her is almost not understandable or even cut -- fixed 21:35 ...who'd been after me for years. I ... - you say two years -- fixed 23:22 ... that ...
There's no Lovecraft collection currently open at LV, but I notice (somewhat belatedly  ) that "The Alchemist" and "The Nameless City" have appeared in past LV collections, catalogued in October 2008 and May 2013. So maybe they should be removed from this collection and replaced by more ...
Google did turn up an online copy of the Introduction at http://fitzgerald.narod.ru/gatsby/gg-intro.html. The "fitzgerald.narod.ru" subdomain looks like a fairly comprehensive Russian FSF site, with a comprehensive collection of his writing including the full text of Gatsby in English ...
Cat, thank you for the clarifications, and also for creating those very handy chapter files. Since they're sourced from the Gutenberg text, as I thought, I'll keep on using them.
Ramona, I saw the note you put in the MW, and I think you're right, this pro tem solution to the ...
I am not sure, if the russia source is a valid one for this project, Viktor has to judge this ... but I agree, that it would be a shame to leave the introduction behind. Let's see, what the experts say ... just keep on recording. The other chapters are not in question anyway 8-)
The source I used for the Introduction was linked to in the old MW. I downloaded it and all the other chapters a few days before the old MW went offline. Those files are probably still on the server, but if not I can send you a copy.
There's another copy here, which I just found by googling:
I've been able to go in and do a few edits: added a section row for the Introduction and numbered the chapters. Everything's working fine. Now I just need the login info for the Legamus upload site, and I think I'm good to go
Thanks, guys. I'm eager to get started. Yes, please PM me with the login info for the upload site.
I'll gladly provide a summary and any other details still missing, but :? I don't know how to update the page content. Is that explained somewhere? Or if that's not for me to do, I could send the copy ...
It looks like this project was abandoned well over a year ago. I love the novel, and I'd be happy to revive this as a solo project if it's ok with everyone involved.
I'm not exactly new here... I've recorded a bunch of stuff at LibriVox over the past few months and some stories in the ...
To me, one of the really creepy features of "He" is the way the squire gradually drifts from his initial pose as the modern descendant and occupant of the manor to the revelation that he is in fact the original squire who poisoned the band of natives on the property in ...
Thank you both for your comments. Lovecraft's long and winding sentences are indeed a challenge. Very frustrating (but also funny) to start running out of air with just a few words left to go, while thinking, "Oh no, I'm not gonna make it! Please Howard, a semicolon! A comma ...
It seems there's been no activity on this thread since last July, so I can only hope someone is still checking in reasonably often :)
This is my first post here. I've been recording over at LibriVox for a few months now, and I was recently told about Legamus by someone there after I ...
